Save Sylvan Lake from residential over development
Gentle readers, here is an opportunity for you to be advocates for the environmental health and well-being of Sylvan Lake for future generations. There is much pressure from land development people to ruin a beautiful natural lake and its surroundings. If you live in Alberta and have not visited our Lutheran Camp Kuriokos, located at the west end of Sylvan Lake, I encourage you to do so. Please visit this website to download letters to fax and mail to the appropriate Alberta government MLAs: http://www.savesylvanlake.ca/
Thank you and blessings!
Thanks Garth for taking up the cause. Camp Kuriakos has existed on the shore of Sylvan Lake for 79 years. It has always been a place of “sanctuary” for people of all ages and groups of many different kinds. Now, with major development all around the camp, this “place set apart” as a sanctuary where faith is nutured and sometimes begun in a special community is being threatened. We need voices to speak out and help us be good stewards of this gift of God’s creation.
